WiFi extensions for B4RN internet in Crook, The Lake District
We have recently called out to repair a wireless network at a large house, located on the fringes of The Lake District, near Kendal. The existing Draytek WiFi system had been affected by a heavy storm and no longer worked. After consulting with the property owner, we ascertained he was preparing to have B4RN (BARN) internet installed and that two other properties also required internet access.
In preparation for superfast B4RN internet
We proposed that we should install and commissioned a full coverage Ubiquiti unified network and external wireless access points to link a large house to two disconnected properties.
We cabled the Ubiquiti UniFi access points using Cat6 LAN cable to ensure maximum transfer rates for this single sign on network that covers every square inch of the main building. We then installed Ubiquiti outdoor WiFi access points to create a wireless bridge between the main house and two other properties, a separate house and a holiday cottage for guest internet access.
There are now no wireless dead spots in the house or external buildings allowing uninterrupted network access for the various devices such as game streaming devices, video streaming services and guest internet access for the holiday home.
We used high quality network cable to complete our task and high spec Ubiquiti products.
